Hi, my name is Anna, and I am the heart and hands behind Mel & Magi. Welcome to a space where honest ingredients meet home-made magic.
My baking story is deeply rooted in the comforting traditions of my Czech home. It was here that I first fell in love with the artisanal craft of sourdough bread and the joy of baking traditional fruit kolaches. Now, I am looking toward the future with a big dream: blending my rich Czech baking heritage with the iconic classics of my soon-to-be home in Norway.
As a passionate hjemmebaker (home baker), I love exploring the magic within surdeig & gjærbakst (sourdough and yeast pastries). Whether I am trying Norwegian favorites like Skoleboller and Grovbrød Rundstykker, or bringing a taste of Czechia to the table, my goal is to blend these two beautiful cultures.
I am currently planning my move to Norway, with the ultimate dream of opening my own micro-bakery for customers in the future. While the road ahead is long—and the best magic takes time to perfect—I am thrilled to share my trials, successes, and new recipes with you along the way.
